Meet Trina, a dynamic force in both real estate and wellness. With over a decade of experience as a property advisor, she has guided clients through Singapore’s evolving market with clarity and care. Her entrepreneurial drive also led her to LifeWave, a wellness innovation using non-invasive phototherapy to support healing.

Having transitioned from homemaker to entrepreneur, Trina is passionate about helping other women, especially mothers, return to the workforce or start their own ventures. Through mentorship and sharing her journey, she inspires women and youth to believe in themselves, grow confidently, and build lives on their own terms.

You’re active in two very different worlds—real estate and wellness. How did your journey with LifeWave begin, and what personally convinced you to explore this space?

I started off in real estate, which is my core business. I’ve always had a passion for helping people find their dream homes. Before that, I was a homemaker for 15 years, and during that time, my health began to deteriorate.

That made me realise that health isn’t just about medication or food. We need something that truly supports and heals the body. That led me to explore the world of supplementation through a multi-level marketing company. I spent nine years there and gained a wealth of knowledge.

After that journey, a friend introduced me to LifeWave, and it completely changed my understanding of health breakthroughs. I connected with medical practitioners who validated the science behind the patches.

LifeWave works, and I’ve witnessed so many life-changing results. I believe we all have a purpose, and one of mine is to help others take charge of their health and prevent critical illness or support recovery.

LifeWave’s X39 patch works through photobiomodulation rather than drugs or supplements. How do you explain this concept in simple terms?

The X39 patch, in particular, activates the copper peptides using our body’s reflected light. I went deep into researching it and realised that if we can make our stem cells healthier, we can rejuvenate the body alongside supplementation.

I usually tell people to think of it as light therapy. In TCM or beauty salons, you have probably experienced red or yellow light used to treat pain or reduce pigmentation. The patch works in a similar way.

Our bodies reflect specific light frequencies back into the body to stimulate healing. There are seven colours of light, and each patch reflects a different frequency for different healing purposes. The X39 patch, developed by founder David Schmidt in 2019, can actually reverse ageing by 8.5 years with six months of consistent use. It’s truly a breakthrough in the wellness industry.

What made you enter the real estate industry, and how do you position yourself differently from other realtors?

I have been in real estate for over 13 years, going full-time in the last four or five years. I have always been interested in investment, architecture, and beautiful homes. As a former homemaker, I needed flexibility and purpose. Real estate gave me both, along with a fulfilling income.

What sets me apart is that I focus on districts I’m familiar with—Districts 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, and 11—where I grew up and built strong client relationships. I help clients manage their real estate portfolio with a long-term view of financial freedom. Real estate, when planned well, is a powerful tool for wealth building and retirement planning.

Clarity comes when you focus on your goals rather than the current disruptions. If you know what you want in life, you will make decisions that align with your long-term vision.

What trends are you seeing in Singapore’s property market right now and how do you help your clients respond to these trends?

Singapore’s real estate market is always growing. Whether you invest now or later, if you’re in it for the long term, say 10 to 15 years, you will almost always gain. Despite higher taxes for foreigners, we still see strong interest from them due to Singapore’s stability and safe-haven status.

For locals, investing in a second or third property is a stable way to grow wealth. We can’t predict every market downturn or global event, but if you plan well and hold your investment, it’s always a good time to enter.

I sit down with them to understand their financial background and help plan their first dream home or investment. From there, I guide them in multiplying their properties to build their retirement or education funds. I also work with partners in other financial sectors to provide clients with well-rounded investment advice.

What’s your personal approach when meeting a new client, whether in wellness or real estate?

I always start by building rapport in a casual, comfortable setting. I share my knowledge sincerely, and that openness usually builds quick trust. Many clients say they feel at ease with me, and I think that’s key in both industries. Trust is everything when you’re guiding someone through major life decisions.

When things don’t go according to plan, what principle or habit helps you make the right decision under pressure?

Over the past three years, I have gone through significant personal transformation. As a mother of four, I used to get easily frustrated. But I have since learned to calm myself through meditation, journaling, and quiet reflection.

Clarity comes when you focus on your goals rather than the current disruptions. If you know what you want in life, you will make decisions that align with your long-term vision.

What’s your vision for Singapore in the next five years?

Singapore is heading into a major wave of transformation, especially with the rise of AI. Our younger generation adapts easily, but for those of us who lived pre-Internet, it’s a big shift. Still, Singapore has laid a strong foundation.

Lifelong learning through SkillsFuture and initiatives to keep our seniors active are wonderful. I see the future being more holistic, with wellness, technology, and human connection co-existing. While AI can help us reduce workload, human touch and communication will always remain essential.

If you could have a superpower for one day, what would it be and why?

It would be financial abundance, not for myself, but to help others. With money, we can solve many of life’s challenges. Recently, I helped raise funds for a single mother of three who was abused by her husband.

Financial empowerment lets us support others meaningfully. Money can ease stress and give us the freedom to create impact.
