Meet Qian Hui, whose entrepreneurial spirit ignited early—she was already dabbling in business while juggling schoolwork and classes. Her journey began with small ventures and quickly evolved into the world of dropshipping and e-commerce.
Today, Qian Hui channels that same passion into helping busy professionals transform their bodies and reclaim their health. As a body recomposition specialist, she empowers clients to sustainably lose fat, build muscle, and regain energy—all without sacrificing their careers. Blending science, empathy, and personal experience, she’s on a mission to redefine what healthy success looks like in today’s high-pressure world.
What inspired you to specialise in body recomposition for busy professionals?
Since young, I’ve always been passionate about achieving what I now call “lifestyle freedom”—success that encompasses all aspects of life. Personal growth has always been important to me, and in the past, I focused heavily on financial success and time freedom.
But as I grew older and my health plateaued, I came to realise that wealth means little without health. That was the turning point. I began working on my own health and fitness journey, eventually losing 25kg.
This experience helped me understand that to help others attain lifestyle freedom, we must start with disease freedom. That’s why I chose to specialise in body recomposition—because I went through it myself. I understand the struggle. I also specifically work with busy professionals because I used to be one.
I was chasing success and neglected my health, just like many of them do today. That’s why I’m committed to helping this group reclaim their health without compromising their ambition.
Can you walk us through a typical consultation-like how do you tailor fat loss and muscle gain strategies to fit into a demanding work schedule?
Each consultation combines both qualitative and quantitative assessments.
On the qualitative side, I ask about their lifestyle—how much they sleep, how they eat, whether they’re moving enough, if they travel frequently, and even their family health history. This helps me understand their habits and stressors.
On the quantitative side, we conduct body composition analysis to measure fat percentage, muscle mass, metabolic rate, and other important markers.
With these insights, we customise their nutrition plan, movement-based training, and use our biometric check-ins to track progress and keep them accountable. Ultimately, we create a sustainable plan that works with their lifestyle, not against it.
What are the biggest misconceptions about “quick fixes” in fitness?
One major misconception is the phrase “no pain, no gain.” Many people think fitness requires extreme dieting or punishing workouts over a short period of time.
But the truth is, the journey can be enjoyable and integrated into your daily routine without drastic changes.
Another misconception is focusing only on short-term results like weight loss, without considering what’s being lost—muscle or fat. People often ignore important markers like muscle mass and fat percentage.
I tell my clients: it’s not about how fast you can lose weight; it’s about how sustainable your methods are so you can keep the weight off long term.

Many people think missing a goal means the journey is over, but health and fitness are lifelong pursuits. It’s about making consistent progress, not being perfect.
What role does mindset play in body recomposition, and how do you help clients overcome mental barriers to consistency?
Mindset is everything—80% mindset, 20% strategy. The key is whether a client approaches this journey wanting a quick fix or a lasting lifestyle change.
We encourage a long-term mentality, but break it down into small weekly wins so the journey doesn’t feel overwhelming. For example, focusing on what can be improved this week helps build momentum.
Accountability also plays a big role—knowing they’ll check in with me keeps health top of mind. I also teach that there’s no such thing as failure, only feedback. Many people think missing a goal means the journey is over, but health and fitness are lifelong pursuits. It’s about making consistent progress, not being perfect.
What has been one of your most memorable client transformation stories?
One of the most memorable was a business owner I met through networking. His lifestyle involved frequent travel, entertaining clients, and drinking socially—typical of a busy executive.
Despite two overseas trips during our three-month programme, he lost 11kg and significantly reduced his visceral fat. He also unknowingly had high blood pressure, which improved dramatically without medication.
The most touching part was his “why”—he wanted to be healthier for his pregnant wife and unborn daughter. His transformation wasn’t just physical, but emotional and mental too. He became more confident and inspired to be a better father. It was truly life-changing—for both of us.
Can you share three simple tips to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle?
First, eat whole foods—foods with only one ingredient, like chicken or eggs. This eliminates processed, calorie-dense foods and makes nutrition simpler.
Second, move more. Walk after meals, pace while on calls, or take the stairs instead of the escalator. These small actions compound over time.
Third, ensure you’re not undernourished. Many people eat too little or eliminate essential nutrients, preventing fat loss. You need the right fuel for your body to function optimally and lose weight sustainably.
What’s your vision for Singapore in the next five years?
My vision is to see more professionals not having to choose between success and health. Too many Singaporeans sacrifice their health in the pursuit of career milestones.
I want to lead a movement where lifestyle freedom—starting with disease freedom—becomes the new standard. I hope to see more Singaporeans become unrecognisable in a good way: stronger, healthier, more energised.
Being in your 30s or 40s shouldn’t mean chronic fatigue or back pain. Your 40s can be your new 20s. I believe this is possible—especially as more people are becoming health-conscious.
If you could have a superpower for one day, what would it be and why?
I’d choose the ability to instantly instil self-belief in others. So many people lack belief in themselves—even when others believe in them. That inner voice of self-doubt is powerful.
If I could snap my fingers and fill someone with radical self-belief, I believe they’d unlock action, discipline, and transformation beyond what they imagined. I’ve seen how belief is the foundation for lasting change.
