What inspired you to shift from a traditional medical path to becoming a Quantum Abundance Coach?
Basically, the question is why I shifted from medicine into what I’m doing now. Along my life journey, I have encountered many experiences that are not easily explained by routine Western medicine. When I went through my own crises—life and health crises, which I had three, I realised that what I learned in Western medicine, despite my 17 years in the field, was not very helpful.
Over time, I observed that many people were merely surviving rather than truly living. They felt trapped, stuck, and unsure of what was wrong. Patterns kept repeating in their lives, and they wanted to break free but couldn’t. Having gone through my own struggles, I discovered tools that can genuinely help—tools rooted in a mind-body-spirit approach.
However, making the transition away from a stable and lucrative career was not easy. I grappled with guilt and shame, questioning what my colleagues, superiors, and the medical fraternity would think of me. As a doctor, I was expected to stay within the bounds of conventional medicine, and talking about alternative healing was not something readily accepted in that field.
Despite this, I knew I had to take this path because I have the unique privilege of being a man of science while also understanding alternative healing and the mind-body-soul connection. This dual perspective gives me credibility and a responsibility I take very seriously.
Your training includes both hypnosis and acupuncture. How do you integrate these modalities into your coaching sessions?
Hypnosis and acupuncture are two of the modalities I have studied, but in practice, I primarily use mindfulness and guided meditation rather than direct hypnosis. While I do incorporate hypnotherapy principles, I prefer to use tools that focus on healing trauma and empowerment.
As a Qigong practitioner, I work with energy both through Qigong and acupuncture principles. Acupuncture involves a practitioner moving energy for a client, whereas Qigong allows individuals to move their own energy.
Since my acupuncture license is valid in Malaysia but not in Singapore, I teach my clients acupressure techniques instead, allowing them to activate key meridian points on their own. Additionally, I use energy-based techniques to help them release emotional trauma, which often manifests as ‘stuck’ energy in specific areas of the body or organs.
Through guided inner work, clients can become more aware of these blockages and start releasing them. By integrating my understanding of hypnosis and acupuncture, I help clients resolve deep-seated issues in a holistic manner.
Can you share a success story where your coaching made a significant difference in someone’s life?
One of my clients, MS, is an executive who has worked with major corporations such as Coca-Cola and Unilever. Despite her professional success, she struggled with procrastination and imposter syndrome, and for 12 years, she was unable to move past a deeply ingrained mental block.
During one of my sessions, I shared my own struggles with guilt and shame, and she resonated with my story. In a single session, I guided her through an approach involving the conscious, subconscious, and superconscious mind—the final frontier of inner transformation.
She later told me that within seconds, something that had weighed on her for 12 years was released. Three days after the session, she sent me a message saying that she was now reaching out to CEOs with ease, something she had previously struggled with. This is just one of the many rapid transformations I’ve witnessed through my work.
Another client shared something that deeply resonated with me: “Previously, you were saving lives as a doctor. Now, through what you do, you are saving souls.” Hearing this helped dissolve my self-doubt.

You start berating yourself for lacking discipline, which further reinforces your negative self-image. This cycle—feeling, thought, decision, action—can trap us in self-sabotaging behaviours.
How does understanding the mind-body connection enhance the empowerment process for your clients?
Do you find that when you are faced with a challenge, you experience a cascade of sensations, tightness in the chest, butterflies in the stomach or tension in the shoulders? These sensations influence our thoughts, reigniting limiting beliefs of self doubt such as: “I can’t do this. I’m not good enough. Others are better suited for this.”
These thoughts then shape our decisions and actions. For example, instead of going to the gym as planned, you might stay home, eat junk food, and watch Netflix. In the moment, this decision feels like relief, but later, regret sets in.
You start berating yourself for lacking discipline, which further reinforces your negative self-image. This cycle—feeling, thought, decision, action—can trap us in self-sabotaging behaviours. However, when clients develop awareness of this pattern, they can break free.
Through mindfulness and self-regulation, they create space between the trigger and their reaction, allowing them to choose a different response. This shift can be life-changing. Clients will experience true abundance—the kind that brings fulfillment, peace, joy, and wealth—is possible.
My client’s journey begins with empowerment:
- Clearing negative thoughts and emotional baggage that weigh them down.
- Aligning their actions with passion and purpose, stepping into the path of flow.
- Gaining confidence through empowerment and experiencing the joy of tapping into their passions, which raises their vibration positively.
Like attracts like, and as their energy shifts, they begin attracting the right people and opportunities into their lives. With confidence, a higher purpose, and the necessary resources, they can create impact and manifest their dreams.
Abundance is a consequence of delivering massive value to the world. This is the Quantum Abundance Protocol.
With fluency in multiple languages, how does this help you connect with a diverse range of clients?
I would say that, right now, the main languages I use are English and Mandarin. I also have Malay clients. When you can speak someone’s language, they feel much more connected, and it gives them confidence that this person understands what they are going through. It creates a very positive feedback loop, making the session move much faster. As a result, they achieve the transformation they need much more quickly.
Recently, I joined a networking community in Taiwan. To cater to this audience, I am currently developing my workshops in Mandarin, which were previously in English. By the end of this month, in February, I will be launching my first Mandarin-based workshop. Who knows? A Cantonese one might come next!
What are some common misconceptions about mind transformation coaching that you would like to debunk?
One misconception is that healing comes from external sources. In reality, we already have the answers within us. My role is not to “fix” people but to help them clear the mental and emotional clutter so they can hear their own inner wisdom.
Another misconception is that the body lacks intelligence. People often ignore their body’s signals—delaying bathroom breaks, skipping meals, or pushing through illness with medication instead of rest. Over time, this disconnection leads to long-term health issues. By listening to their bodies, people can prevent many chronic conditions and regain balance.
What advice would you give to individuals who are skeptical about the power of transformation?
I would say that if you are experiencing recurrent patterns in your life—perhaps you keep attracting the same unsavoury people and don’t know why—you could be stuck in this cycle for years, even decades.
The first step is becoming aware of these patterns. For example, in my case, my wife used to describe me as going from “zero to volcano.” I would get triggered and immediately escalate from calm to an outburst. I couldn’t see this pattern for years until I received a rude wake up call: we were headed towards separation and perhaps divorce. Eventually, I realised that I had been reserving my best self for work, suppressing all negativity, and showing my worst self at home. When those suppressed emotions reached a tipping point, they exploded catastrophically.
Having that awareness allowed me to recognise what was happening. Once I saw the pattern, I was able to break it. Instead of reacting impulsively to triggers, I developed a deep practice of mindfulness. This gave me an expanded awareness of time, where I could recognise a trigger and say: “Oh, the trigger is here. Usually, I would react in a certain way. But now, I have a choice. Do I respond as usual, or do I try option A, option B, or option C?”
When I reached that level of self-awareness, my life changed. For those who are skeptical about this process, I can say that it is truly eye-opening and life-transforming—if you allow yourself the space and time to explore the deeper parts of yourself.
Where do you see yourself and what’s the vision for Singapore in the next five years?
One of my biggest goals is to establish the Institution of Integrative Science and Spirituality by December, 2026. It is a faculty of members who are experts in their respective fields of mind, body, and soul healing. It will serve as a trusted source because, let’s face it, in the alternative healing space, there are frauds and scammers out there.
This body will function as a repository of truly trusted practitioners whom I personally screen and whose methodologies I understand. That way, people have a reliable source they can turn to.
Singapore is very successful in terms of the economy and material wealth. However, I find that many people feel unfulfilled and somewhat hollow, even though they have all the comforts and the “Five Cs.” It is my hope and vision that more people reconnect with themselves, become aware of their long-suppressed passions, and realise that they are meant for true abundance.
