What inspired you to transit from a school lecturer to becoming an author as well as an inner child guide or spiritual healer?

I was already an author before I left my job in higher education. But my goal was to become a novelist. As an inner child guide, what inspired me was a spiritual awakening. Everything in my life seemed to go wrong, and I had to heal myself and connect with my higher self. You can call it the universe or spirit guides—they inspired me to take this leap of faith.

It wasn’t easy to quit being a lecturer since it’s a high-paying job. I had been thinking about leaving for a while, but I finally made the decision when I felt supported by the universe. It kept giving me encouragement.

The final push came from the universe asking me, “Why are you so afraid? I will back you up, why are you so afraid?” I kept hearing these words. I realised I was skilled and talented, and even if I failed, I could always apply for another job. So I gave myself a second chance.

How did listening to your inner child transform your life and help you discover your “larger mission”?

My inner child is also my heart. It kept calling me to write a novel. Every day when I was writing the novel, I cried. At first, I didn’t understand why. Later, I realised I had depression. I healed myself through journaling. After I finished the first novel, I started hearing voices. I even thought I was crazy because I could interact with these voices.

But I learned that listening to our hearts unlocks our intuition. My inner child kept calling me to write, even though external voices told me not to. I chose to ignore those voices and spent about one and a half years focusing on writing.

After finishing the novel, it revealed many truths—universal truths. Everything I had experienced started to resonate with me. That was when I discovered I had a “larger mission.”

Could you share an interesting encounter related to your “larger mission”?

As a teacher, I often encountered students facing challenges like autism or mental health struggles, but I was scared and found it hard to manage. After finishing my novel, a polytechnic offered me a six-month teaching contract.

While I was on a train, thinking about whether to accept, I saw a mother and daughter sitting opposite me. The daughter appeared to have autism. I typed “no” to the HR manager without giving a typical excuse.

The moment I looked up, the mother and daughter were gone. The train had moved on, but I knew it was a message for me. I sought answers from friends who were coaches and counsellors, but they couldn’t provide what I was looking for. As I walked my spiritual path, I realised I needed to help this group of people.

Even though I’m not a certified therapist, the universe told me to share my story to help those like me—people who think they’re crazy but actually have healing powers.

But the universe revealed that depression is sometimes a sign of spiritual awakening. It’s about aligning the heart and mind. Once aligned, intuition and connection become possible.

I asked people for testimonials, and they said that I have the ability to translate ancient wisdom from the universe and deliver it in a practical way that they can apply to their lives.

As an inner child speaker and guide, what is the most common challenge people face when trying to connect with their inner child?

The biggest challenge is their mind—particularly the unhealthy ego. They don’t listen to their hearts. I was a science person, so when I first heard voices, I thought I was crazy. I even considered psychiatric help. A counsellor friend once told me that school students often see and hear things, but teachers send them for psychiatric help.

My mission is to tell people that it’s a talent, not a mental health issue. Another reason people don’t listen to their inner child is self-doubt. My inner child always told me to write novels, but I judged myself because I thought my English wasn’t good enough. Self-judgment blocks intuition. Suppressing negative emotions also prevents connection.

As an NLP coach, I was always focused on thinking positively. I believed I couldn’t be sad because I was supposed to be positive. But I realised that’s wrong. We need to acknowledge negative emotions and ask why we’re feeling that way. By doing so, we can hear the emotions and connect with our inner child.

How does being an Andromedan Starseed influence your work and your connection with the universe?

Now to answer the existential questions: Who am I? Why do I exist? Since I was young, I’ve been searching for answers. That’s why I’ve explored various astrology systems, both Eastern and Western, and even professional tools like MBTI. I’ve been using metaphysics to understand myself.

One of the main questions for me has always been why I exist on this earth because I feel that I don’t belong here. I don’t feel connected. Back then, I couldn’t connect with people, and I didn’t understand why. Over time, I met people who felt the same way.

When I discovered I am an Andromedan Starseed, it was an eye-opener. I finally understood why I felt disconnected from people here. I started researching more and found many people who resonated with this identity. It comforted me because I often felt tired and misunderstood, wanting to give up.

Then one day, I received a message that I am not alone. I don’t know why, but I instinctively opened a star app and pointed to the Andromedan Galaxy. I immediately felt a strong resonance. This wasn’t just a one-time experience; it happened multiple times, confirming that I am indeed an Andromedan Starseed.

What is the most meaningful feedback you have received from someone you have guided through your inner child healing?

The most meaningful feedback I’ve received is when people tell me that they share things with me that they wouldn’t even tell their closest family members. They confide their secrets, traumas, and pain because they feel a calming effect from me.

I asked people for testimonials, and they said that I have the ability to translate ancient wisdom from the universe and deliver it in a practical way that they can apply to their lives.

Often, people receive wisdom but don’t know how to use it. I help them by providing solutions and strategies based on their specific problems. One person mentioned that my words continued to inspire and motivate them long after our session.

What are your future goals as an author, healer, and spiritual educator, and how do you envision making a greater impact on the world?

One of my bigger missions is to awaken more people. I’m creating and releasing works to achieve this, including my first novel and an Oracle deck. At that time, I didn’t even know why I was writing the novel, but now I understand. These creations help to awaken people.

Where do you see yourself and what’s your vision for Singapore in the next five years?

I hope to travel around the world, share my co-creations with the universe, and help people reconnect with their inner child and discover their talents.

As for Singapore, I hope that people will be less in their minds and more in their hearts—finding a balance. I’m not suggesting we abandon the mind completely, but people need to be more open to exploring spirituality because it brings healing and less stress.

Life here is sometimes too fast-paced, and I’ve learned that slowing down often brings better results. I hope that people realise they don’t always have to work so hard to achieve their goals. Finding this balance can lead to a more fulfilling life.
